Josh, along with Jake Bancroft, formed Fully Empty in 2016 after leaving the band they were previously apart of. Although the group has undergone lineup changes and has been quiet for awhile, Josh remains one of the three original members still in the band.

Fully Empty records under Josh's record label, Virginia Ann Records, and also records in his studio- The Music Room. All of his solo albums have been recorded under this label and at his home studio. Josh had released 6 solo albums before Fully Empty's first album released in 2019. The songs on his solo albums were primarily recorded by himself with the exception of Les Arbres which featured Fully Empty band mates Jake Bancroft and William Konys on a few tracks. Josh is one of the primary songwriters for Fully Empty along with band mate William Konys. Both share a huge love for the Beatles and work very well together as songwriters and in the studio. When Josh isn't working in the studio, he enjoys taking pictures and going to the beach.
